Space Station Construction
Project Overview
Business Problem
Imagine a fast-growing aerospace organization building several space stations in parallel. Each station has its own scope, status, supplies, and crew. Managers need a single source of truth for:
Project status visibility — is each station on track, at risk, or blocked?
Supply spend — how much is each station costing in materials, and where is the money going?
Crew assignments — who is assigned, with what utilization, to which station?
Operational readiness — is the shielding online? Is the station mission-ready?
Spreadsheets and email threads do not scale beyond the first two stations. The business needs a centralized, role-based, mobile-friendly application that the existing team can run themselves — without engineering effort.
That is the problem this Salesforce app solves.
Solution Overview
I built a single Lightning app called Space Station Construction containing three custom objects, supporting fields and relationships, page layouts tailored for Lightning and mobile, business logic via formulas and validation rules, automation via Flow, and a reporting layer with a project dashboard.
